Kathy has a passion for Ann Arbor and the surrounding communities. "The Trillium Real Estate Open House blog has been my first go-to on Sunday mornings for years!" She loves that there's a unique place in our region for everyone, so many different vibes, neighborhoods, urban, rural, and in between.
"All in one place you can find farmers' markets and antiques - BBQ joints and jazz performances - symphony and steak - big, sprawling, historic farmhouses and sleek downtown condos! Summer festivals, fall football, sparkling holiday lights downtown all winter. Neighborhoods with parks, vibrant downtowns, citizens engaged with their local governments. My family and I are so lucky to live here, and I love sharing that gratitude and joy with clients."
Kathy worked in colleges and universities for twenty years in international affairs, enrollment management, and graduate student programs. That career took her from St. Louis to Chicago, then upstate New York and finally back to Ann Arbor where she and her husband, Kevin, are raising their daughters, Grace and Keira. Kevin is a historical theologian and building conservation consultant, and real estate inspector. Grace is a budding community activist with the Safe House and volunteer with Girls on the Run. Keira attends WiHi, an amazing International Baccalaureate school in Ypsilanti, and does her best to keep us all healthy - trying out vegan recipes and restaurants. Her fave: the Lunch Room in Kerrytown!
She's volunteered with the nonprofit Ten Thousand Villages shop downtown, her girls' schools, the University Musical Society, and the United Way. Her cultural curiosity has taken her across the U.S. and the globe: Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Central America.
Of all the places she's lived and travelled, the ones that feel most like home are Nickels Arcade and Kerrytown in Ann Arbor. She loves antique jewelry—she knows all the best spots around—and finding peace and recreation in the Huron River Metroparks, from Kensington nature paths and kayaking, to breathing in the fresh air and watching the sailboats at the Erie Metropark.
" Our team works closely to fully support and serve our clients with integrity, accountability, and joy," Kathy says. "Trillium has a deep history of serving this community, not only in real estate, but civic affairs, human rights, and genuine commitment to inclusiveness.
"I am committed and enthusiastic to guide our clients on their real estate adventures: first-time buyers, seasoned investors, townies and transplants from across the country and the world. I'm invested personally and professional to helping them to find their place, their space, their community."
